[On Transformations Terminology and Medicine]

Hello! Author here. Wanted to talk a bit about the transformations!

So first of all quick cheatsheet/dictionary - I'm massively simplifying, but I'm hoping it'll help some of non-native speakers (like myself) follow the transformation stories.

Sex - Biological sexual characteristic
Gender - A role in the conventional society
Cis Male - Born Male, identifies as male.
F2M / FtM Male - Born Female, transitioned and identifies as Male.
M2F / MtF Female - Born Male, transitioned and identifies as Female.
Cis Female - Born & identifies as female.
Hemaphrodite - Person exhibiting sexual characteristic of both sexes.
Non-Binary - Person not identifying as either of two major genders.
Futa - A fantasy creature that has fully functional sex organs from both sexes (most often a woman with breasts, a dick, and vagina). This is not the same as hemaprhodites, or trans. This story will feature futas because it's a fantasy :)

Transformations in the stories

As I've written the stories with some of my partners, we always pushed for the most kinky outcomes (obviously), but as I was rewriting those sessions into stories I always asked myself the same question ... well what if we just went to a doctor to get a checkup?

That's the sanest option right? Well. Let's let the Master speak.

But then I thought. What if it was not the dull option.

Of course in some hellhole countries, the answer might simply be: "I can't afford to, I'd rather die be a woman then be financially ruined for the rest of my life after they run 30 tests for 10 000$ each to figure out why I'm suddenly changing sex", but I didn't want to go that route.

But then, having some experience with the hospitals and the health stuff, well, let's just say they might draw some weird assumptions. Especially since the story takes place in a civilized country where the trans rights are respected and the healthcare is good and universal.

But for that some knowledge is needed on the medical aspects of transformations.

There are many aspects of the sex change. But not to bore you the most common way to determine if someone is a woman or a man is to test their hormone levels, especially testosterone (and to lesser extent estrogen). There's a massive gap between testosterone levels of a man and a woman.

So if the doctor tests the hormone levels of an individual and testosterone comes out around 50 he/she will assume it's a women being tested, but if the chart says "man" she will assume it's either a mistake, or it's a FtM male - as in a person born women who transitioned to being a man. That's the premise of some of the chapters where poor victim of a goblin king goes to a hospital to get a checkup.

Conversely if the testosterone levels are off the charts (as it would be the case if Kantor got tested) but the chart says "women" they will assume it's a MtF female.
